Our position is enviable, we are in Anghiari, a small medieval village in the heart of Tuscany, with its colors and scents, steeped in history and culture, in the deepest nature of sunsets and starry skies.

The Commenda  Villa was a  monastery of Camaldolesi monks and it has more than 1000 years, it is located in a beautiful park surrounded by fragrant flowers in every season, primroses and lilies in spring immersed in deep white daisies, marigolds and brooms, geraniums from bright red, shrubs, climbing plants, jasmine, potted hydrangeas and sunflowers as well as numerous plants of colored roses.

What is most surprising are the many outdoor spaces surrounding the villa, each with something special to offer, every corner is a gem where guests can relax in the sun or in the shade of trees or walk in complete silence broken only by the chirping of birds and the gentle sounds of nature. Chairs, tables,  and hammocks are placed everywhere to give the possibility to savor every glimpse of nature every explosion of colors.

The property consists of three units surrounded by a garden of one hectare and 5 acres of woodland, here you can find  the main house, our old chapel  where now We have with 2 suites and a separate annex. In addition to this we have  “the covered veranda” with its sofas near the square, “ the outdoor veranda” full of  roses with a direct access to the kitchen and the “geranium terrace” on the second floor of the main villa from which you can admire beautiful sunsets or glittering starry skies.

At about 50 meters from the house in the sunniest part of the property in a lush garden you will find  the swimming pool. This measures 12 mx 6 m with a constant depth of 1.5 m is illuminated inside and out for the evening, access to the water is by ladder. Its edges there is in addition to a large outdoor shower solarium area furnished with beds, tables,  chairs and umbrellas.

The pool is accessed via a staircase with wooden steps (sleeper train) as a time they used to, this has allowed us to maintain the environment. From this side of the property you can admire the pale colors of dawn and the deep green of the countryside.

Here in a secluded among olive trees there is a “small wooden house” furnished with rugs and pillows for guests to enjoy a moment in privacy and intimacy.

Near the square there is a nice “covered place” to welcome you with its comfortable sofas. This area is ideal for a chat with friends , for aperitifs, to read a good book or a nap.

The roof is made of natural materials and original tiles and wooden beams typical Tuscan. Here you will find, magazines, games, and a refrigerator with a freezer where you can keep your drinks or ice cream.

All guests say is priceless and a real discovery walk in the park, sitting under the shade of lime trees, poplars, oaks and olive trees for children instead is a joy to have the opportunity to see small squirrels, hares, birds of prey, deer, pheasants , and owls ... then just go into the woods to be amazed at the spectacle of one of the oldest cypress trees of the valley.

This tree embodies something spiritual so that many people wrapped by the feeling of magic decide to express the shadow of the majestic tree a wish or a prayer with the hope to bring luck.

Younger people may instead find themselves in the play area, the avenue that leads to the ancient well, where a ping pong, hammocks, rackets and balls will cheer the afternoon hours.

If we move close to the main house, we can’t  but notice the veranda in front of the kitchen, nestled in the corner of roses and “limonaia” small stone structure finely restored.

This is the ideal place for breakfast or dinner on the barbecue or for tastings of local products such as cold cuts, cheese, olive oil and wine.

All outdoor areas of the property have outdoor lighting night divided into zones and free wi-fi, at the entrance of the villa is a large open parking but protected by an entrance with automatic gate.
